    Thrilled that we hired Sean at Clean Finish Painting to do our interior painting. They were recommended by a friend who had a great experience with them, and they definitely lived up to the praise. They were prompt, courteous, meticulous, and finished a day early. They were also very careful moving furniture and keeping paint and paint dust from affecting other parts of the house while we were living in it. They also showed good flexibility as we were trying to decide on accent wall colors. I checked around, and their price was competitive. We'd certainly recommend them and hire them again for any additional painting. See more See less

    I would recommend Sean Buxton and his team. They were courteous, communicative, detail-oriented, and organized. They helped refine the project plan based on their experience with specific paint types and painting approaches. They capably navigated the complexities of my rooms (exposed beams, slanted ceilings, clerestory windows). I chose Clean Finish over another bid from a bigger company, which was a little cheaper and offered a slightly quicker turnaround, because I appreciated the human-scale interaction of Clean Finish Painting.     I am a Realtor and used Clean Finish Painting to paint the outside of a home in San Jose; absolutely excellent. Sean gave us a quote and attached a w-9 and proof of liability insurance with the bid. In all my years I had never seen that and his professionalism stands out. The sellers are very happy with the finished result and comment about the friendliness of the crew. I have referred another customer to Clean Finish Painting and recommend them very highly.     I just got my house’s exterior painted by Sean and his crew from Clean Finish Painting. I was always nervous about the wild price differences I got from other quotes, which made me delay this job for years. But Sean changed that for me. He explained everything really well and made me feel comfortable. Excellent work at a great price My house hadn’t seen a paintbrush in about 70 years, so it needed a lot of prep work. Sean’s team did a fantastic job to make sure the final look was spot on. I can’t believe how great it turned out! Sean and Clean Finish Painting did an awesome job. He was extremely helpful in assisting with the type of paint I should use, assisted with paint ideas, and really made me happy.     The Mrs. and I are so very glad Clean Finish Painting painted the exterior of our house. Sean Buxton (owner), Lionel and Danny did an OUTSTANDING job! The house has never looked better, and that includes painting done by a "Diamond Certified" company. CFP checked every box: (A) Attention to detail: EXPERTLY patched, smoothed and caulked stucco walls and wood doors/window trim, etc. (B) Self-policing perfectionists: went around multiple times to make sure everything was done just right, instead of relying on us to point things out. When we did a final walk-through, everything looked great! Also, made color suggestions that proved to be spot-on ("What was I thinking?!? How did I not notice that conflicting undertone?!? What the heck IS an undertone?!?), even though this required some repainting for which we were not charged. No "Let's just throw paint on and get out of town." (C) Personable: enjoyed every interaction, and appreciated every update. Being easy to talk to meant issues were readily resolved. Heck, we miss them! (D) Integrity: Sean received a higher grade paint from the store -- that we originally opted not to pursue given its greater cost -- at no charge. Sean told us, "Received this better paint at no extra charge, so you get a free upgrade." No attempt to obtain extra money from us at the last minute. Writing checks is not fun, but it was actually a pleasure to pay CFP since we felt their pricing was fair and worth EVERY penny. Wonderful people to work with. After seeing the results of talented people treating our home as their own, we could not recommend them more highly. Need another house so they can paint it (maybe we'll get a shed)!     The best painting company I have ever hired. I have been managing rental property for decades. Sean is a very professional and easy person to interact with. He is very knowledgeable about painting, and careful to listen to what you want him to do. He is reliable, always does what he said he will do, in a timely way. I hired him to re-do a large crack in a ceiling, match colors to a kitchen cabinet and re-paint walls. The workmanship is excellant. He went out of his way to get the exact match to the cabinets, I can't tell the difference in color. The ceiling crack disappeared, and he smoothed out the filler so well, the plaster looks like sheetrock. Never a drop of paint on the floor, very clean. I am currently working with him now on another job. He and his staff are doing a great job! See more See less

    We've had Clean Finish paint 3 different apartments and they always do a fantastic job. Sean has been very fair with his pricing, his guys do a great job cleaning up and we have been so happy with the results. They have also done a drywall repair job for us and you'd never be able to tell it wasn't the original wall. I'd recommend Clean Finish to anyone. See more See less
